Dan Cook (ASCAP) is a composer and arranger from San Antonio, Texas. He began singing at the age of four and started playing the trumpet when he was ten. Dan has dedicated his life to music, earning a degree in music education from The University of Texas at San Antonio. For over a decade, he taught both band and trumpet in the public school system of his home state.
His passion for composition developed through years of experience as a freelance marching band arranger, which stemmed from his involvement in drum corps during his youth. Currently, Dan's interests focus on the connection between human society and the natural environment. He composes music for choirs, chamber groups, and wind ensembles at various skill levels.
