Dead Day

October 6, 2020

I released a new song on Bandcamp today. It’s part of a larger experiment in a more popular vein using trumpets, modular synths, and drum machines. I made a promise to myself when I stopped playing professionally over fifteen years ago that I would never play my trumpet again unless I was using it to play my own music. After all these years, it looks like the time has come. The project isn’t anywhere close to being finished, but there are certain tracks inspired by current events that are ready to be let loose into the world. These pieces may change some by the time the whole project is finished later this year, but Dead Day is pretty close to being done.
